Sue Covington started Convenient Tax Service at 1987 when she saw the need to take the mystery out of income tax preparation by offering while-you-wait service at an affordable price. In 1988, Convenient Tax Service became one of the first tax preparation services in Wisconsin to offer electronic filing. 

 

Daughters Cori Huston and Wendy Vernon joined her in the business in 1989, and her niece Kaylene Dowdle started the Waukesha location in 1992.  In 2021, Sue Covington and daughter-in-law Amy Gour opened a new office for Convenient Tax Service in Florida.
